As we ventured deeper into the forest, we spotted a lone elephant, standing tall amidst the lush greenery. It was a mesmerizing sight, and we couldn't believe our luck. The highlight of our safari came when we reached the banks of the Minneriya Tank, an ancient reservoir that has become a gathering point for elephants during the dry season.
